Job Description

Looking for candidates in all experience levels.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the job sites and communications equipment, and secure and protect as required;
  • Proficient testing and working with Fiber;
  • Follow proper safety procedures when using electrical test and communications equipment and OSHA Safety standards;
  • Fully test an antenna/line system as required via PIM or Sweep;
  • Interpret the alarm conditions on the network and implement repairs and restoration plans to ensure minimal service disruption and impact to customer;
  • Follow detailed method of procedures (MOP) and practices to perform maintenance on equipment;
  • Knowledge of sector/antenna configurations with respect to jumper and coax routing, RET settings and cabling, and fiber routing;
  • Read and understand CD’S and RFDS so you can make sure radios and antennas are set according to build plans;
  • Ownership of the top of the tower and everything related to the build or upgrade of the site while on the tower;
  • Train other Tower Technicians and Apprentices;
  • Climb tower sites daily to conduct repair and install equipment; may climb multiple towers daily.
